Stream Monitoring Sites
(click on a site to find out more information)
The Gallatin River Task Force collects the following water quality data quarterly at fourteen stations. Parameters include water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, turbidity, total dissolved solids, nitrate, and total and fecal coliform. In addition, aquatic insect and benthic algal biomass samples are collected annually. Sediment sampling (pebble counts) is also collected during the summer months when low flow is happening. We also collect realtime streamflow at four sites. Click on a test site below to see where the site is located and observe current and archived data!
Click on a monitoring parameter listed below to find out why we monitor each of these parameters in the Upper Gallatin River.
